A backyard pool in the desert fights evaporation, blowing dust and some of the hardest tap water around, so weekly care is a bigger job here than in many places. This page lists pool service and repair companies in the valley with ratings from public Google reviews. The table is sorted by review volume to surface companies with long public histories, and any business paying for featured placement is labelled. Use it to compare a few providers, then read the sections below on scale, summer chemistry and what a service agreement should cover.
102 rated pool service in the valley meet our bar (4.0 average or better, 10+ reviews, not marked closed; how we pick and order listings). The table shows the 40 with the most reviews. Data refreshed October 2026.
Valley tap water is hard, and as pool water evaporates in the dry heat, the minerals stay behind. Topping off adds more, so calcium hardness climbs over time and shows up as crust along the tile line and on water features. Our explainer on why valley tap water leaves scale covers the chemistry.
Options include regular tile cleaning, balancing water to slow scaling, partial or full drains, and water treatment services that reduce dissolved minerals. Each has tradeoffs in cost, water use and downtime, so ask a pool company which they recommend for your pool and why.
Scale also builds inside heaters, salt cells and filters, shortening their life. Regular inspection catches it earlier.
Strong sunlight and warm water consume sanitizer quickly, and algae can bloom fast if a visit is missed. Ask how a company adjusts chemistry in summer and whether extra visits or chemicals cost more.
Pumps, motors and timers work hard all summer. A tripping breaker, a dead GFCI or a burned timer may need an electrician for pool circuits rather than a pool technician, especially if wiring is involved.
Pool equipment can be one of the larger electrical loads at a home, which is why many owners track run times through the seasonal pool and home calendar. Variable-speed pumps are common upgrades, and some homeowners planning a solar array factor the pool pump into the system size. Ask your pool company about run times that fit your setup.
Send the details once. We text you back with rated options for the job.
Weekly cleaning and chemistry is one business. Equipment installation, replastering, tile work and remodels are another, and work that needs a permit generally falls under contractor licensing. For that kind of job, look the company up through the Nevada State Contractors Board at nscb.nv.gov.
Pool technicians come into your backyard every week, often while you are away. Ask about liability insurance, how gate codes and keys are handled, and whether the same technician usually services your route.
Many companies send a short report or photo after each visit showing chemical readings and tasks completed. That record makes it easier to spot skipped visits and to resolve problems quickly.
Spring winds and monsoon storms dump dust and debris into pools, which loads filters and feeds algae. Plants that shed heavily near the water add to the work, so consider a landscaper who plans pool-friendly planting if you are redoing the yard.
Pool owners in pool-heavy Henderson neighborhoods often have many companies to choose from. Ask whether a company already services your street, which can mean more reliable scheduling and quicker callbacks.

Many homeowners choose weekly service, especially in summer when heat, sun and dust affect water quality quickly. Some reduce frequency in cooler months, when algae grows more slowly and less debris blows in. Ask companies whether their schedules change by season and how they handle storms that dirty the pool between visits.
Because evaporation concentrates minerals from hard tap water, calcium and dissolved solids rise over time until balancing gets difficult and scale forms. Draining or treating the water resets those levels. Ask for test readings that support the recommendation, ask how long the pool will be out of use, and compare the options before agreeing.
Pool size, visit frequency, whether chemicals are included, filter cleaning schedules, and extra charges for green-to-clean recovery all play a role. Equipment repairs and replacement parts are usually billed separately. Compare written plans side by side so you know exactly which tasks and supplies each price covers.
Usually not. Most services work from gate access you provide. Make sure pets are secured, gates latch properly behind the technician, and you know how the company reports each visit. Ask how they handle access changes, such as a new gate code, and whether they text or email when a visit is complete.
